Motor control centers are simply physical groupings of motor starters in one assembly. A motor starter can be DOL (Direct On Line), ASD (Auto Star Delta), VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) ranging 200V - 600V. Each starter associated with a motor has protection level such as under/over voltage, overload, dry running, phase reversal, phase failure etc. The starter can be operated manually with pushbuttons on panel door or remotely with PLC or desktop operating panel. Each starter usually comprise of incoming breaker, overload relay, contactor(s), timer etc. with adequate space for connection of cable and are easily extendable on either side and have excellent short circuit withstand performance of Bus Bars comprised of bolted / riveted modular construction.
